BEL Q2 profit seen up 11.3%, order inflow may be healthy

Bharat Electronics' second quarter profit after tax is seen rising 11.3 percent year-on-year to Rs 164 crore and revenue may increase 8 percent to Rs 1,396 crore, according to a CNBC-TV18 poll.

Bharat Electronics' second quarter profit after tax is seen rising 11.3 percent year-on-year to Rs 164 crore and revenue may increase 8 percent to Rs 1,396 crore, according to a CNBC-TV18 poll.


Operating profit is likely to rise 9.4 percent year-on-year to Rs 130 crore and margin may expand 12 basis points to 9.3 percent in quarter gone by.


What to expect:
-Expect healthy order inflow in Q2FY16, driven by large IAF order of Rs 8,000 crore
-Other income may increase by 11 percent Y-o-Y owing to increase in cash and cash equivalents
-Company may benefit from improvement in decision-making on defence procurement

-Revenue growth as key orders like Akash Missile (intake Rs 6,700 crore in FY11/12) are under execution for both the Army and Air Force
