To ring in the festive season, Domino’s Pizza India has introduced the Navratri special menu and gone 100 percent vegetarian in most of its north India-based outlets, says President and Chief Business Officer Dev Amritesh.
Most of the company's restaurants in Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar will have only vegetarian menu during the Navratri period. In an interview to CNBC-TV18 Amritesh says industry-wide sales during 9 days of Navratri tend to be down by 5-10 percent every year.Though impact of Domino’s introducing an all-vegetarian menu in some regions this year remains to be assessed, he says numbers for the first two days of this initiative indicate it is right decision. The Navratri special menu will have pure vegetarian pizza's made of water-chestnut and millet flour and Sago pudding for dessert. Watch video for more.
