    RBI issues licence to Ujjivan for Small Finance Bank

    Ujjivan Small Finance Bank has got licence from RBI yesterday, Ujjivan Financial Services, the promoter company, said in a filing to the BSE.

    Ujjivan Financial Services Ltd today said its subsidiary Ujjivan Small Finance Bank Ltd has got RBI licence to set up Small Finance Bank business.

    Ujjivan Small Finance Bank has got licence from RBI yesterday, Ujjivan Financial Services, the promoter company, said in a filing to the BSE.

    Further, Ujjivan Small Finance Bank is in the process of seeking necessary approvals, registrations and licensing from various departments of the RBI and other agencies prior to the commencement of the banking business, it said.

    On receipt of mandatory approvals, it will commence operations of a Small Finance Bank.
