IL&FS Engineering receives LoI for Rs 149 cr order in UP

IL&FS Engineering and Construction Company today announced receiving letter of intent for Rs 149 crore rural electrification work in Uttar Pradesh.

"IL&FS Engineering and Construction Company Ltd....has received a Letter of Intent (LoI) from Madhyanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Ltd for rural electrification works of majre/villages of Gonda district in Uttar Pradesh on a turnkey basis under Government of India scheme of Deen Dayal Upadhyay Gram Jyoti Yojana," the company said in a filing to BSE.

The total value of this contract is Rs 149.22 crore and the project completion period is 12 months from the date of issue of LoI.

As part of this scheme, 1,436 villages of Gonda district will be electrified that will result in provision of 39,600 of services connections to below poverty line card holders.
