Online hotel aggregator Goibibo today launched a platform 'GoStays' to facilitate booking budget accommodations through its mobile apps. The platform is available in 72 cities and covers 862 properties translating to 10,000 rooms a day, Goibibo said in a statement. Commenting on the development, ibibo Group Founder and CEO Ashish Kashyap said: "We carefully looked at all the problems and pain areas being experienced by budget hotel owners with respect to the online brand partners as well as travellers on the other hand. Hence, as the market leader we constructed GoStays to solve these pain points with the aim to create a healthy marketplace of budget accommodations." GoStays has partnered with the property owners to deliver facilities such as free wifi, breakfast, AC, television and hygienic washrooms, Goibibo said. GoStays will be available on various Goibibo networks, it added. The ibibo Group comprises of various travel portals such as hotels aggregator and air platform Goibibo.com, online bus ticketing platform redBus.in, vehicle tracking application YourBus and recently launched car sharing app, ibibo Ryde.
South Africa-based Naspers is the principal owner in the ibibo Group, a diversified travel group founded by Kashyap in 2007.
