Adani Green Energy announced on Septemeber 14 that effective October 1, 2024, Saurabh Shah, the current Deputy Chief Financial Officer, will take over the role of Chief Financial Officer from Phuntsok Wangyal, who will step down from the position on September 30, 2024.
In its press release, the company stated that Phuntsok Wangyal's resignation, effective at the close of business hours on September 30, is a planned transition. Wangyal's departure marks the end of his tenure as Chief Financial Officer, a role he has held with the company.
Saurabh Shah, who currently serves as Deputy Chief Financial Officer at Adani Enterprises Limited, will bring over 22 years of extensive experience in financial management to his new role. Shah's background includes significant expertise in financial accounting, reporting, planning, budgeting, internal controls, liquidity management, and investor relations within the Adani portfolio, the company stated.
Additionally, Adani Green Energy has announced another leadership transition. Colonel Shaminder Singh Jamwal will assume the position of Head of Security, also effective from October 1, 2024. Colonel Satyajeet Ghoshal, the current Head of Security, will move to a new role within the CEO’s office, where he will focus on business intelligence and technology transformation initiatives.
