Looks like oil & gas major Reliance's KG-D6 problems will never end. There is a fresh controversy over RIL levying a marketing margin for supplying gas from the KGD6, reports CNBC-TV18 quoting sources.

The fertilizer secretary Sutanu Behuria last week wrote to his counterpart in the oil ministry questioning the admissibility of this levy as well as its quantum of 13 cents per million British thermal units.  The fertiliser secretary said the companies have been paying this levy since May 2009, which has led to huge under recoveries.

Behuria also pointed out that the companies getting gas from the KG-D6 have still not been reimbursed for this marketing margin levy and that it would not be possible to do so until the oil ministry or the gas EGOM provide some clarity on the issue which has now been pending for over a year.
