A meeting of the Inter- Ministerial Committee formed to make recommendations on issues with regard to coal supply to certain end-use plants linked to mines has been postponed and will now be held next week.
The meeting was scheduled for today.
"The second meeting of the Inter-Ministerial Committee to make recommendations on the issues related to supply of coal to certain end-use plants (EUPs) linked to the coal blocks which was scheduled to be held on May 29 has been postponed and now will be held on June 3," according to a Coal Ministry memorandum.

The Committee, under the Chairmanship of Additional Secretary, Coal, is looking into the issue of supply of coal to end use plants of those captive captive coal blocks holders whose mines are facing regulatory hurdles but the plants are ready for commissioning, according to a Coal Ministry official.
The panel has members from the other ministries, including Power, Finance and Environment, the official added.
