SBI says not likely to raise funds from abroad now

SBI, India's largest lender, would not like to currently raise funds from overseas given the current market conditions says, managing director, Hemant Contractor.

State Bank of India, would not like to currently raise funds from overseas given the current market conditions, said Hemant Contractor, a managing director at the bank, on Monday.

In September, the state-owned bank had doubled its overseas borrowing aim to USD10 billion.
