Bengaluru, January 28, 2026: Renowned numismatist and founder of Rezwan Razack’s Museum of Indian Paper Money, Rezwan Razack, will unveil his much-anticipated book, Paper Money of the Princely State of Hyderabad, at a distinguished book launch ceremony on 31st January 2026 at 5:00 p.m. at Conrad Bengaluru.

The event brings together scholars, collectors, historians, economists, and cultural leaders to celebrate a work that represents one of the most comprehensive studies of the paper currency of the erstwhile Princely State of Hyderabad, one of the largest and most influential princely states in pre-independence India.

The book will be formally released by the Chief Guest, Dr D. Subbarao, former Governor of the Reserve Bank of India, whose presence underscores the book’s importance not only as a historical document but also as a significant contribution to India’s monetary and economic scholarship.

The evening will be presided over by Mr. Irfan Razack, Chairman and Managing Director of the Prestige Group, a distinguished industrialist known for his patronage of culture, heritage, and the arts.

A Definitive Contribution to Indian Numismatic History

Paper Money of the Princely State of Hyderabad is the culmination of years of meticulous research, archival study, and first-hand examination of rare banknotes. The book documents the evolution of Hyderabad’s paper currency, examining its design, production, denominations, issuing authorities, and historical context, while also shedding light on the political and economic forces that shaped monetary policy in the state.

Drawing from private collections, institutional archives, and the author’s own museum holdings, the publication offers high-quality illustrations, detailed classifications, and scholarly commentary, making it an indispensable reference for numismatists, historians, economists, and serious collectors.
