Vishwak Sen’s latest Telugu film Laila, which released on February 14, 2025, failed to perform well at the Tollywood box office. The movie had received negative reviews due to its adult content, and Vishwak Sen’s performance also came under criticism.

In light of the film's disappointing box office run, discussions have arisen about advancing Laila's OTT release date.

Normally, films are released on OTT platforms about four weeks after their theatrical debut. However, if a film is a big hit like Pushpa 2 or Kalki 2898 AD, streaming platforms may delay the OTT release to maintain its box office momentum. But since Laila struggled at the box office, there is growing speculation that its OTT release could be moved up. Reports suggest that Laila may arrive on Prime Video earlier than expected. Additionally, another streaming platform, Aha, is also said to be involved with the film’s OTT release.

He further clarified that he deeply respects the feedback from the audience and promised that future films, whether for a mass or class audience, would never cross the line into vulgarity. Vishwak emphasized that from the beginning of his career, he has aimed to choose stories that connect with the audience, and he will continue to do so in the future. In closing, Vishwak thanked all the producers and distributors who supported his journey in the film industry.
