Thalapathy Vijay was recently spotted in Mumbai amid his divorce from Sangeetha Sornalingam and his alleged romance with actress Trisha Krishnan.
The actor was in the city to attend Atlee’s wife Priya’s baby shower at their house.
Thalapathy Vijay was seen exiting the premises after seeing Atlee and Priya at an unguarded moment. The actor had a beard and sported an all-black look.
Vijay stopped for the paps and to the fans, supporters, and photographers gathering outside as he and his manager left the event.
For the unversed, rumours that Sangeetha Sornalingam filed for divorce after over 27 years of marriage have put Vijay at the centre of controversy. She accused the actor of adultery, claiming that he abandoned his wife and kids, according to these unconfirmed claims.
Even though these allegations are still unverified, additional allegations indicate that Vijay would settle the divorce with a substantial alimony payment.
Vijay and Trisha Krishnan were spotted together at a wedding amid the divorce rumours. They reportedly arrived together and wore matching attire.
Despite the fact that neither has responded to the dating rumours, there is still conjecture that the two may eventually get married. But this is still just conjecture.
Trisha was questioned about the situation at an airport after their public appearance, but she chose to remain silent and leave.

On the work front, Vijay will be seen in the next film, Jana Nayagan, directed by H. Vinoth. The film is a political action drama that tells the tale of an ex-convict and former police officer who, while facing his past, works to assist his foster daughter in becoming a military officer.
Bobby Deol, Pooja Hegde, Mamitha Baiju, and Priyamani also play significant parts in the movie. Due to pending CBFC certification, the movie's original January 9, 2026, release date has been postponed.
