Shraddha Kapoor, fondly known as the “People’s Superstar” for her effortless charm and relatability, marks two years since the release of Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar. The romantic comedy resonated deeply with audiences, offering a fresh perspective on love and relationships while highlighting Shraddha’s versatility.
Her portrayal of a bold, witty, and emotionally layered character added a new dimension to her filmography, reinforcing her status as one of Bollywood’s most beloved stars. Reflecting on the film’s success, Shraddha reminisces about how the story and her role immediately captivated her, making it an experience she cherishes to this day.
Talking about the film, she said “This character is quite different from what I played in Aashiqui 2 and my films afterward. She’s more in control, confident, and always on the front foot. For me, it was refreshing to portray someone who openly expresses what she feels. She has the charm of a girl-next-door but with a bit of tadka (spice), making it an exciting first for me.”
She added “When he (director Luv Ranjan) narrated the film to me, I found the story truly entertaining. What excited me most was my character, as she is completely different from who I am. It was a challenge for me as an actor, and that made the experience even more rewarding.”
