Taylor Swift fans have reason to celebrate, as the pop icon has announced her next album, The Life of a Showgirl.
Her boyfriend Travis Kelce and his brother Jason Kelce host the podcast New Heights, where she made the major revelation. The album is expected to be released in October, although the exact date has not been revealed yet.
Jason let out an excited scream when Taylor revealed her 12th studio album in a video that was uploaded to the podcast's official Instagram page.
The briefcase had orange accents. Fans could see hints of orange and mint green in the blurry clip of the cover art. In just six minutes, the post received 75,000 likes on social media.
Fans were thrilled by both the album announcement and the fact that Taylor involved Travis in the reveal. The couple, who went public with their relationship in September 2023, have often delighted fans with public moments like this.
The Life of a Showgirl's official release date has not yet been confirmed by Taylor, but "pre-orders" are currently available on her website. Her merchandise page states that vinyl editions will be shipped prior to October 13, 2025, but it makes it clear that this is not the official release date.
A change in Taylor's discography is reflected in this new project. Her most recent album, The Tortured Poets Department, broke the tradition of having single-word titles like "Lover," "Folklore," and "Midnights," and The Life of a Showgirl continues that trend.

Taylor had previously shared glimpses of her relationship with Kelce on social media. In June 2024, she posted a selfie featuring Travis alongside members of the British royal family, taken backstage at her London Eras Tour show at Wembley Stadium.
