Raghu Ram talks about his wedding celebrations

Raghu Ram, known for his role as a judge on Roadies, recently shared that his wedding with Natalie Di Luccio was a stunning fusion of traditions. The celebration included a beachside Telugu ceremony, a Christian wedding, and Punjabi rituals, all thoughtfully chosen to create a fun and unforgettable experience.

In an interview, Raghu also shared that, as an interfaith marriage, they had to navigate specific legal requirements for registration, ensuring that all formalities were in place. The couple’s commitment to honoring their diverse cultural backgrounds added a special touch to the entire event, making it a truly unique and heartfelt celebration of love.

While giving an interview on Couple of Things, Raghu mentioned, "We did a Telugu wedding at the beach, and then, a Christian wedding, and then we had a few Punjabi rituals… basically, we curated the fun we wanted to have. Of course, there was also the court wedding because ours was an interfaith wedding, and there were some rules in place to get it registered."

Raghu fondly recalled the moment Natalie walked down the aisle, describing it as a truly special experience. He expressed that it symbolized his personal journey and revealed how her presence had brought a significant transformation in his life.

He said, "It felt like everything, and it was all positive. It was a reflection of how I came through a lot of things in my life, and what I was going through at that moment. It was… something, I guess,"

Raghu revealed that he quit smoking because Natalie didn't like it. He used to smoke one or two packs a day, but when they started dating, he realised that she had never been around smokers.

He remembered a particular date when he smoked before picking her up, which made him reflect on the impact his habit had on her.

Raghu mentioned, “I used to be a heavy smoker. Finishing a pack or two daily was a routine. But when we started dating, I realised neither has she never smoked, she’s never dated a smoker," he shared and added, “I remember taking her out on a date after we first connected. Before picking Natalie up from her place, I smoked at my house. So, when I picked her up, I leaned in for a kiss, and I still remember her knee-jerk reaction to the smell of cigarettes. ‘I forgot you smoke’ she said. I realised that if a future with her was on the cards, I couldn’t be a smoker anymore."

Before his marriage to Natalie, Raghu Ram was married to Indian actress Sugandha Garg. They were together for 12 years, from 2006 to 2018. Their relationship spanned a significant part of Raghu's early career, but they eventually parted ways, with their separation coming in 2018.
