Nayanthara joins Chiranjeevi and Anil Ravipudi's film Mega 157, set for Sankranthi 2026 release

Ravipudi Venture Sankranthiki Vasthunnam’s success brought a career-making project to director Anil Ravipudi, and the movie was none other than megastar Chiranjeevi’s next. Now, Mega 157 has been announced with a lot of fanfare, and it is being funded by Sahu Garapati, accompanied by Sushmita Konidela, Chiranjeevi’s daughter, under their prestigious banner.

There were unconfirmed reports that lady superstar Nayanthara quoted an exorbitant remuneration, leading the team to hunt for alternatives, but here's the official word - The Aramm and Annaatthe heroine has signed the film. Her inclusion was confirmed by the developers in an unusual promotional video, which endeared her to fans immediately.

In the video, as Nayanthara gears up and talks fluently in Telugu, there is a sense of her excitement for the film and the ease in it. At the end of the clip, Anil Ravipudi joins her as both of them declare the film’s release date – Sankranthi 2026.
This project is the third project the duo is working on together. They worked for Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, then in GodFather and now for this film.

The revelation is even more unique as Nayanthara is not too fond of the promotional scene. That she took an active role in creating a launch video for the project speaks volumes about her passion for this film.
