Munmun Dutta looks stunning in a green saree

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah fame actress, Munmun Dutta, shared a glimpse into her Poila Baishakh,  Bengali New Year celebration. The TV actress took to her Instagram and shared a series of photos, giving an insight to her followers into her festivities of Shubho Nobo Borsho.

Munmun, popularly known as Babita Iyer, also shared photos of her mother and the festival dishes. Alongside the photos, she wished her fans a happy new year in Bengali. She wrote in the caption, “To all my fellow bengalis.”

The TV actress added, “Happy Payla Baishakh… May the new year bring happiness, peace and prosperity in your life.” She continued, “To my Assamese brothers and sisters. Best wishes to you on Bohag Bihu. Happy Bohag Bihu [a red heart emoji].”

Munmun also revealed that she was wearing a traditional Baluchari Saree, known for its rich heritage and elaborate woven motifs, to celebrate the festival. She concluded her caption, “P.S = Wearing a traditional Baluchari Saree today. #munmundutta #bengalinewyear #poilabaisakh.”

The actress gave a tribute to the Bengal's timeless textile artistry with her stunning Baluchari saree. She kept her makeup minimal, with pink lipstick and blush. She completed her look with a green bindi and golden jhumkas.

In a series of photos, the actress posed with her mother, who wore a black and orange saree with a similar tribal print to Munmun’s saree.
