Former Bollywood actress Mamta Kulkarni, who was recently expelled from Kinnar Akhara, took a trip down memory lane by revisiting the set of her 1995 film Karan Arjun, which featured Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, and Kajol. During a conversation about her time on the film, Mamta recalled an unsettling incident on set where Salman Khan allegedly shut the door in her face.

She also revealed that both Salman and Shah Rukh "sniggered" at her, an experience that left her feeling disrespected.

Mamta, who had a brief but notable career in Bollywood, shared these recollections as part of a broader reflection on her experiences in the industry.

Despite her early success, Mamta's time in the limelight was marred by controversies and disputes, and her comments on Karan Arjun have sparked renewed discussions about the challenges she faced while working with some of Bollywood's biggest stars.

In a recent conversation with India TV, Mamta Kulkarni, 52, reminisced about an incident from the set of Karan Arjun. She shared, "Chinni Prakash was the choreographer of Karan Arjun. Both Shah Rukh and Salman had gone for the shoot, and I was sitting alone. After almost an hour and a half, Chinni Prakash’s assistant knocked on my door. I said, ‘What happened?’ He said, ‘Masterji is calling you,’"

She continued, "Then I went up. There were stairs, and as I was climbing up, both Salman and Shah Rukh passed by me and sniggered. I was quiet. It was about 8 in the evening when I reached Masterji. He told me, ‘This particular step, you will do it alone.’ I was like, ‘What are you saying?’”

The following day, Mamta nailed her shot in a single take. However, as she was performing, she noticed Shah Rukh and Salman laughing from behind the bushes once again.

"The next morning, the first shot was mine. My very first shot was approved. And I saw both Shah Rukh and Salman watching me from behind a bush. And they were laughing again. The next shot was theirs—they had to do a step on their knees among 5,000 people. They took so many retakes that the director eventually called for a pack-up. We all ran to our rooms. I knew that last evening they played with me. I didn’t want to give them the opportunity to make the choreographer assign all the steps to me. So when they ran up, so did I. As soon as I reached, Salman stopped me and shut the door on my face. That was it," Mamta mentioned.

Calling Salman "naughty," she concluded, "I am very punctual. He would always tease me, and I would be like, ‘Shut up, Salman.’”

Mamta Kulkarni quit Bollywood in the early 2000s. She was last seen in the 2002 release Kabhie Tum Kabhie Hum.
