Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez created a buzz among her fans with the announcement of her 2025 IPL (Indian Premier League) appearance. The actress was scheduled to perform at the Barsapara Stadium on March 26 just before the start of the match.
However, the actress now will not be headlining the event. The actress is currently busy taking care of her mother, Kim Fernandez, after she was admitted to the ICU following a health scare.
A source close to the actress has recently shared that Jacqueline's mother is still in the hospital recovering, and Jacqueline will not be able to perform at the IPL Ceremony.
The source said, “Jacqueline’s mother is still in the ICU (Intensive Care Unit) recovering. As the family awaits further update from the doctors. In these challenging times, Jacqueline has chosen to be by her mother’s side, and unfortunately will be missing performing at the IPL Ceremony.”
The actress’ mother is currently admitted to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai. However, Jacqueline was scheduled to perform ahead of the much-anticipated IPL match between the Rajasthan Royals (RR) and the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).

Jacqueline’s mother was rushed to the hospital on March 24 after facing a serious medical condition. Jacqueline instantly rushed to Mumbai to be with her family. Salman Khan was also spotted at the hospital to support the actress in her tough times.
Jacqueline has notably temporarily put her career on hold to care for her ailing mother, prioritizing family during this challenging period.
On the work front. Jacqueline Fernandez was last seen in Fateh alongside Sonu Sood and Naseeruddin Shah. The actress has a few exciting projects in her pipeline including Welcome to the Jungle and Housefull 5. She is also speculated to star alongside Salman Khan in the upcoming film, Dancing Dad.
