Authorities have ruled out foul play, though an investigation into the circumstances is ongoing. Hackman, 95, was a towering figure in Hollywood, known for his versatile performances and unforgettable roles across a career spanning six decades.

Born in California in 1930, Hackman served in the U Marine Corps before pursuing acting. After years of struggle, his breakthrough came with Bonnie and Clyde (1967), where he played Buck Barrow. From there, he cemented his reputation as a leading man, winning the Academy Award for Best Actor for his role as Popeye Doyle in The French Connection (1971). He won his second Oscar for Best Supporting Actor in Clint Eastwood’s Unforgiven (1992), playing the ruthless sheriff Little Bill Daggett.
