As Arbaaz Khan and his wife Sshura Khan welcomed their first child together, Malaika Arora found herself back in the spotlight for a completely different reason, a heartfelt confession about the person who means the most to her.

During a recent event in Hyderabad, Malaika was asked about her favourite icon in the film industry. Known for her poised and honest nature, she responded thoughtfully, saying it was hard to pick just one person because she’s been inspired by so many. But when the conversation turned personal, her answer came easily.

She said, “There are so many people I've looked up to in my years. I mean, I've grown up on Malayalam films. My mom is a Malayali… so I've grown up on a staple of Malayalam films. I remember I used to really idolise them. But if you ask me, my most favorite person in the world is my son. He is my most favorite.”

Her statement struck a chord with fans who have followed her journey through motherhood, divorce, and rediscovery.

Earlier, in an interview with Pinkvilla, Malaika spoke candidly about her divorce from Arbaaz Khan, reflecting on how she chose peace over societal expectations.

“Of course I would have loved for my marriage to be forever. But that didn’t happen. That doesn’t mean I have lost faith in love, or that I made a huge mistake,” she said.

She went on to add, “People forget that it’s okay to put yourself first. I needed to be happy before I could make anyone else happy. I wasn’t happy, and people said, ‘What a selfish decision,’ but I did what felt right. Today, I feel that choice has made me a better person.”

While Malaika spoke about love and family, her ex-husband Arbaaz Khan celebrated a new chapter in his life. On October 5, 2025, Arbaaz and his wife, makeup artist Sshura Khan, welcomed their first child — a baby girl — at Mumbai’s Hinduja Hospital.

Though the couple hasn’t made an official announcement yet, media reports confirm the arrival.

Arbaaz was spotted outside the hospital that morning, visibly emotional. The actor had confirmed Sshura’s pregnancy earlier in June, saying he felt both “nervous and blessed” as he prepared for fatherhood once again.

Arbaaz and Sshura reportedly met on the sets of Patna Shukla, where she worked as a makeup artist. The two bonded quickly and tied the knot in an intimate nikah ceremony in December 2023. The baby girl marks Arbaaz’s second child, his first being Arhaan, whom he co-parents with Malaika.
