  • Ghar Kab Aaoge song featuring top vocalists boosts film's social media buzz

As Border 2 continues to draw audiences to theatres across India, behind-the-scenes glimpses from the set have added a joyous dimension to the film’s promotional buzz. In several BTS videos shared by cast members and crew during the shoot, actors are seen dancing together to the hookstep from Sandese Aate Hai 2.0 — officially titled “Ghar Kab Aaoge” in the film’s soundtrack — during breaks and lighter moments of filming.

The song itself — a reimagined take on the patriotic classic Sandese Aate Hai from the original Border (1997), now called Ghar Kab Aaoge — has generated significant excitement in its own right. Featuring powerhouse vocalists such as Sonu Nigam, Arijit Singh, Diljit Dosanjh and Vishal Mishra, the track preserves the emotional spirit of the original while connecting with a modern audience. Its teaser and full versions became social media highlights ahead of the film’s release, contributing to the broader buzz around the sequel.

All this musical and social media momentum has translated into box office success for Border 2. The film opened strongly in January 2026, with first-day earnings reported in the tens of crores and packed houses in multiplexes and single-screens alike, driven by patriotic interest and the legacy of the original.

Border 2 is directed by Anurag Singh and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, J.P. Dutta and Nidhi Dutta, bringing together one of Bollywood’s most formidable creative teams to continue the legacy of the iconic 1997 war drama.

The film stars Sunny Deol as the central protagonist leading the ensemble, joined by Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty in pivotal roles that span multiple branches of the Indian armed forces. Supporting them are Mona Singh, Sonam Bajwa, Medha Rana and Anya Singh, who add depth and nuance to this multi-front war narrative set during the India-Pakistan conflict.
