Prabhas and Anushka Shetty to reunite

It’s been almost ten years since Baahubali: The Beginning first took over cinema halls and changed the way we looked at Indian films forever. And now, Prabhas and Anushka Shetty — the duo fans still adore for their magical chemistry — are coming back together after a long eight-year gap.

Not for a film this time, but for something just as special: a conversation to celebrate a decade of Baahubali.

According to Pinkvilla, the reunion will see the two stars sit down and revisit their journey — the making of the film, the memories they shared on set, and how the franchise became a cultural phenomenon.

An official word on the exact format is yet to come, but that hasn’t stopped fans from celebrating online. For many, simply seeing Prabhas and Anushka together again feels like a festival in itself.

When Baahubali: The Beginning released in 2015, it opened the doors to the mighty kingdom of Mahishmati and introduced us to Mahendra Baahubali (Prabhas), who eventually learns of his destiny as the son of Amarendra Baahubali.

Along the way, he meets Devasena (Anushka Shetty), a fierce warrior and his great love. Their story, combined with unforgettable characters played by Tamannaah Bhatia, Rana Daggubati, and Ramya Krishnan, created history at the box office.

The sequel, Baahubali: The Conclusion, released in 2017, only pushed the phenomenon further. It answered the question that had kept everyone hooked for two years — “Why did Katappa kill Baahubali?” — and smashed records worldwide. More than that, it cemented Prabhas and Anushka as one of Indian cinema’s most iconic screen pairs.

Which is why this reunion feels more like a celebration than an interview. For fans who grew up with the films, it’s a chance to relive the magic that changed Indian cinema forever.

Even as he looks back on Baahubali, Prabhas is racing ahead with new projects. His next release, The Raja Saab, a horror-comedy directed by Maruthi, finally hits cinemas on 5 December after several delays. The film also stars Sanjay Dutt, Malavika Mohanan, and Nidhhi Agerwal.

Beyond that, he’s preparing for Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit, now featuring Triptii Dimri after Deepika Padukone stepped away, and the sequel to Kalki 2898 AD. Clearly, the actor’s journey is only getting bigger from here.
