The Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) 2025, a national-level management entrance examination, is set to take place on January 5, 2025. This year, the test has recorded 142,235 registrations, marking the highest number of applicants in its history.

XAT, conducted by XLRI Jamshedpur, is considered one of the key entrance exams for admission to management programs in India. It provides access to a range of reputed institutions, including XLRI and several other associate business schools.

The significant increase in registrations has been attributed to a combination of factors, including increased awareness and a broader reach through campaigns led by XLRI and associated institutions. According to Prof. Rahul Shukla, convenor of XAT, the surge reflects the growing interest in management education among candidates from diverse academic and professional backgrounds.

"This year’s registration numbers highlight the strong demand for management programs and the importance of exams like XAT in providing access to them," said Prof. Shukla.

About XAT

The XAT entrance exam is known for its standardized format, which is conducted in test centers across the country on the same day. It assesses candidates on a range of skills, including verbal ability, logical reasoning, decision-making, and quantitative aptitude.
