The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has announced the exam date for its 70th Combined Competitive Examination (CCE). The Preliminary Examination (PT) for the CCE, originally slated for November 17, will now be tentatively conducted on December 13, 2024.
The Commission previously notified all District Magistrates in the state about the exam postponement due to "unavoidable reasons." In its announcement, the BPSC highlighted the importance of having sufficient examination centers at the district level to accommodate an anticipated surge in candidates, estimated to be between seven to eight lakh.

To ensure a smooth and fair examination process, the BPSC has laid down specific criteria for the selection of examination centres. These include easy accessibility, good infrastructure (including lighting, water, and seating arrangements), and a peaceful and orderly environment.
