Shiv Sena Yuva Sena General Secretary (Shinde faction) Rahool N Kanal reached out to online ticketing platform BookMyShow requesting it to not facilitate sale of tickets for the shows of controversial comedian Kunal Kamra.

Kanal asked the online platform in a letter to refrain from publishing or promoting Kamra's shows, adding that "continuing to facilitate ticket sales for his events could be perceived as an endorsement to his divisive rhetoric which may have serious repercussions for public sentiment and order in the city".

Meanwhile, the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of Mumbai Police has received a written complaint from a representative of the Shiv Sena against comedian Kunal Kamra, seeking an investigation into the funds he allegedly received from various countries through his videos.

Earlier, the Mumbai Police issued a third notice to stand-up comedian Kunal Kamra, asking him to appear for clarification over his remarks.

According to the police, the stand-up artist was called to record his statement on April 5.
