TVS Motor Company, which is one of the largest manufacturers of two-wheelers and three-wheelers in India, today reported its highest-ever monthly sales in August 2025, crossing the 5,00,000 units mark. The company sold 5,09,536 units, up 30% from 391,588 units in August 2024.
Two-Wheelers
The total two-wheeler sales rose 30% to 4,90,788 units in August 2025 from 3,78,841 units in August 2024. The domestic two-wheeler sales rose 28% to 3,68,862 units.
While the motorcycles grew 30% to 2,21,870 units in August 2025 from 1,70,486 units in August 2024, the scooters registered a growth of 36% at 222,296 units against 1,63,629 units in August 2024.
Electric Vehicles
TVS sold 25,138 EVs in August 2025, slightly higher than 24,779 units in the same month last year. The company flagged continued challenges in magnet availability in the short to medium term.
International Business
Exports rose 35% to 1,35,367 units in August 2025 from 99,976 in August 2024. The two-wheeler exports accounted for 1,21,926 units, a growth of 36% year-on-year.
Three-wheelers
The segment registered strong growth of 47%, with sales increasing to 18,748 units in August 2025 from 12,747 units in August 2024.
TVS Orbiter
Strengthening its EV portfolio, TVS launched its third electric scooter, the Orbiter, in India last month. Priced at Rs 99,900 (ex-showroom), the Orbiter has an IDC-certified range of 158km.
TVS also offers electric scooters like the popular iQube and the flagship X. Till now, the company has sold over 6,00,000 units of electric scooters.
