JSW MG Motor India today announced that the MG Windsor EV emerged as the country's highest-selling electric car for the 10th consecutive month with record wholesales of 4,308 units in July 2025. This was also the vehicle's highest monthly sales since its launch.
Cumulative sales of the Windsor have reached nearly 36,000 units. The sustained demand has contributed to an increase in the company's market share in the passenger EV segment, which rose from 28% in the first quarter of 2025 to 32% in the second quarter. During the same period, the average monthly sales of the Windsor grew by 17%, while overall EV wholesales from JSW MG rose by 28%.
The MG Windsor is available in five variants – Excite (38kWh), Exclusive (38kWh), Essence (38kWh), Exclusive Pro (52.9kWh) and Essence Pro (52.9kWh). Customers can choose between a fixed battery option and a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) subscription.

Powering the Windsor is a permanent-magnet synchronous motor on the front axle, delivering 136PS and 200Nm of torque. Two battery pack configurations are offered: a 37.9kWh unit with an ARAI-certified range of 332km and a 52.9kWh pack with a claimed range of 449km.
Charging solutions include a 7.4kW AC charger capable of fully charging the battery in 7-9 hours, and a DC fast charger of up to 60kW, which can charge the battery from 0 to 80% in about 50 minutes.
The interior features a 15.6-inch infotainment display, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, wireless charging, ventilated front seats, reclining aero-lounge rear seats, 256-colour ambient lighting, and a panoramic infinity glass roof.
Safety equipment includes six airbags, electronic stability control, disc brakes on all wheels, and a 360-degree camera. The top-tier Essence Pro variant adds Level-2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) with lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, and emergency braking. Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) and Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) charging functions are also available.
With the Windsor, JSW MG now offers five EVs in its portfolio. While the Comet, ZS, and Windsor are sold through regular MG dealerships, the M9 and Cyberster are retailed via the premium MG Select outlets.
