Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nallari Kiran Kumar Reddy is likely to resign on Wednesday over the division of the state, said sources on Tuesday. The Chief Minister might meet the press around 10 am and then submit his resignation to the Governor.
Kiran Reddy has been protesting against the Telangana Bill and launched protests for a united state. He had earlier threatened to resign and said, "Posts, Chief Ministership does not matter to him. The will of the people is much more important."

There is also a possibility that Kiran Reddy may form a new party and two Seemandhra ministers - S Shilajanath and P Satyanarayana - are already supporting him.
Meanwhile, Seemandhra minister Ganta Srinivas Rao resigned from the party and the post to protest against bifurcation.
The UPA government is pushing hard to get the contentious Bill passed in the current session and has also indicated that it might pass the Bill without discussion.
Last week, unruly scenes were witnessed in Parliament as Seemandhra MP L Rajagopal used pepper spray and TDP MP Venugopal Reddy broke microphone protesting the division of the state.
Ever since the Telangana Bill was endorsed by the Congress Working Committee, the state has witnessed numerous bandhs, protests and has come to a standstill.
