Power Minister Jyotiraditya said his ministry is working with Coal Ministry to iron out the differences over the issue of price pooling of the dry fuel.

Power Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said his ministry is working with Coal Ministry to iron out the differences over the issue of price pooling of the dry fuel. "I am meeting the Coal Minister next week to deliberate on the issue of price pooling," Scindia told reporters on the sidelines of a CII event.

Coal India had earlier said that it would import 15 per cent of 80 per cent minimum supply through imports. The company decided to import on a cost plus basis till there is a final method on board. Price pooling refers to the practice of sharing of prices, whether in part or in full, by all users of a certain service or a commodity, such as coal or natural gas.
