Trident shares climbed 6.7 percent intraday Wednesday on beginning of production at its integrated bed-linen project in MP.
"Trident has commenced production today at its integrated bed-linen project of 500 looms capable of producing 43.2 million meters of bed-linen per annum and around 1.9 lakh yarn spindles for captive consumption at Budni, Madhya Pradesh," the company said in its filing to exchanges.
According to the company, with capital investment of Rs 1,667 crore, it will add potential revenue of Rs 1,200 crore at optimum utilisation.
Trident expects to achieve 50-60 percent utilisation by FY17. Post this expansion, total capacity of textile division is 688 looms of terry towel, 500 looms of bed-linen, 5.55 lakh yarn spindles and 5504 rotors of cotton & blended yarns.Trident manufactures & exports terry towel, home textile, yarn and paper.
At 12:13 hours IST, the scrip of Trident was quoting at Rs 40.55, up Rs 2.30, or 6.01 percent on the Bombay Stock Exchange.Posted by Sunil Shankar Matkar
