World's largest silicon manufacturer to set shop in AP

While the first project will be solar module manufacturing units, the second project will see the company setting up a solar power park in the state

The fact that Andhra Pradesh came in at the second spot as far as ease of doing business is concerned, seems to have augured well for the state. The world's largest silicon manufacturer XI'an LONGI has decided to set up not one but two plants in the state, with a total investment of Rs 8,000 crore.

While the first project will be solar module manufacturing units, the second project will see the company setting up a solar power park in the state.
