Airtel launches 3G services in Jaipur

Leading telecommunications company Bharti airtel today launched 3G services in Jaipur.

Leading telecommunications company Bharti airtel today launched 3G services in Jaipur.


It is the first launch in North India and following this, the services will be rolled out across all major cities in the states in weeks to come, Bharti airtel President (Mobile Services) Atul Bindal said.


"Having successfully launched airtel 3G services in six cities, we are launching the service in North India from the city of Jaipur, with exciting Hindi and regional mobile TV content," he told reporters at the launching ceremony here.


Powered by 3G, the airtel mobile TV services allows customers to enjoy their favourite TV shows on different channels on the go. A wide range of live and on-demand TV channels as well as shows available on airtel 3G mobile TV at Rs 40 for 20 minutes per week," he said.

Other services including video call, high speed Internet and video capabilities on social networks are also there, he added.
