TTP attack kills six, wounds seven in Pakistan

At least six security personnel were killed and seven others wounded in an attack claimed by Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Monday.

According to News18, sources said a heavy exchange of fire broke out in Manato, Kurram district. Six security personnel were killed and seven injured during the clash. Further details are awaited.

Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), described by the Pakistani state as “Fitna-al-Khawarij”, is a proscribed militant organisation.

The attack comes just days after five people were killed when TTP targeted a government vehicle in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. That earlier assault was directed at a vehicle carrying Shah Wali, the assistant commissioner of North Waziristan.
