Sheikh Mohammed appoints new commander-in-chief for Dubai Civil Defence

In his capacity as Ruler of Dubai, Vice President, and Prime Minister of the UAE, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum has appointed Lieutenant General Rashid Thani Al Matrooshi as the new Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Civil Defence, Gulf Today said in a report. Major General Jamal bin Aded Al Muhairi was also appointed as the Deputy Commander-in-Chief. The appointments coincide with the promotion of 6,247 personnel serving in Dubai's key security entities, including the State Security Department, Dubai Police, the General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs, and the Civil Defence.
