Germany: 12 injured in knife attack at Hamburg train station, woman arrested

At least 12 people were injured in a knife attack at Hamburg Central Station on Friday evening. A woman has been arrested in connection with the incident.

The Hamburg police reported a 'major police operation' on X.

"There is currently a major police operation in #Hamburg on #Hauptbahnhof! We are investigating the background and will provide further information here shortly," the force stated.

According to local media reports, three people were critically injured in the attack while the others received minor injuries.

Train services around the station were temporarily suspended.
