Still using an old Google Pixel 3a, OnePlus 7, or Samsung Galaxy S10 in 2025, it’s time to think twice. Google has quietly stopped sending security updates for these phones, meaning they’re no longer protected from new digital threats.

These devices are stuck on Android 12 or 12L, and with no more updates coming, they’re easy targets for hackers. Without security patches, your phone could be exposed to viruses, data theft, or even scams that could compromise your personal information.

What’s worse, Google didn’t make a big announcement about ending support—it just happened quietly at the end of March. Most users didn’t even realize it until they noticed Android 12 was missing from the April security update list.

Samsung and OnePlus have different support policies. While newer Samsung phones get up to seven years of updates, older models like the Galaxy S10 are no longer covered. OnePlus, on the other hand, only provides updates for three years, and the OnePlus 7 is already past that point.
