Samsung has rolled out Digital Car Key support for Mahindra’s Electric Origin SUVs in India through Samsung Wallet, enabling Galaxy users to access and control select Mahindra cars without a physical key. With this launch, Mahindra becomes the first Indian OEM to offer Samsung’s Digital Car Key integration. The function allows drivers of Mahindra’s XEV 9e and BE 6 to lock, unlock and start their vehicles using compatible Galaxy smartphones.
Integration with Mahindra eSUVs
The Digital Car Key feature is embedded inside Samsung Wallet on supported Galaxy phones. Once paired with the vehicle, the smartphone can function as the primary access point. Users can also digitally share the key with others for a defined duration, with the ability to revoke access at any time. Mahindra and Samsung stated that this phase of the integration targets the Electric Origin portfolio developed under Mahindra Electric Automobile Ltd.
Security and controls
If a device with an active Digital Car Key is lost or stolen, the owner can remotely lock the device or delete data including the Digital Car Key through Samsung’s Find service. The system is protected with authentication methods such as biometrics or PIN to ensure only authorized access. Samsung Wallet is secured by Samsung Knox and consolidates keys, payment credentials and IDs in one application.
Galaxy ecosystem and service scope
Samsung said the rollout is part of its strategy to expand connected mobility experiences under the Galaxy ecosystem. Mahindra said this integration will enhance daily convenience for eSUV users. The Digital Car Key adds to Samsung Wallet’s portfolio of digital identity, payments and access solutions, with support for contactless usage on compatible devices.

The feature is being deployed in India starting October 29, 2025, and is available to Galaxy users owning compatible Mahindra Electric Origin SUVs. Further model support may be added later.
