Oppo Reno14 5G Diwali Edition launched in India with heat-sensitive colour-changing design

Oppo has introduced a special Diwali Edition of the Reno14 5G in India, adding festive-themed design elements and a new industry-first heat-sensitive colour-changing technology for the market. The device builds on the Reno14 series and has been designed exclusively for India, combining cultural motifs with material innovation.

The Oppo Reno14 5G Diwali Edition is priced at Rs 39,999 for the 8GB + 256GB variant. As part of festive offers, it is available at an effective price of Rs 36,999 across Oppo e-store, Flipkart, Amazon, and leading retail outlets. Additional offers include no-cost EMI for up to six months, 10% instant cashback with select bank partners, up to Rs 3,000 exchange bonus, and bundled subscriptions such as three months of Google One 2TB Cloud with Gemini Advanced and six months of OTT access through Jio.

Design and features
The Diwali Edition introduces GlowShift Technology, which allows the phone’s back panel to shift colours based on heat. At lower temperatures, the panel stays black, transitions at mid-range temperatures, and glows gold when exposed to warmth such as body temperature. Oppo claims the technology is durable for over 10,000 cycles of use.

The back panel incorporates mandala patterns, a peacock motif, and diya-inspired accents, paired with a black-and-gold palette to symbolise light overcoming darkness. The phone also features an aerospace-grade aluminium frame, Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, and an All-Round Armour architecture with Sponge Bionic Cushioning for drop resistance. It weighs 187g and measures 7.42mm in thickness. The device also carries IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings for water and dust resistance.
