According to a new report by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the M4 MacBook Air models are expected to arrive between January and March 2025 and users can expect these new machines to come with 16GB of RAM with the base models. Apple recently increased the minimum RAM included in all MacBook Air models from 8GB to 16GB, so we can expect 16GB of RAM for all base 2025 MacBook configurations.

The 2025 MacBook Air models will also receive an update in connectivity as instead of standard two Thunderbolt 4 ports, three will be installed in these new laptops for seamless connection with multiple external devices. It will give users support for up to two external displays, even with the MacBook Air’s lid closed.
