Earlier this week, Meta introduced several features for its social media platform Threads. The main highlight is the introduction of setting the following feed or any custom feeds as the default. These changes are part of other new Threads features, including the ability to now limit post replies to followers only, an improved video player, and the option to add custom topics in the bio.

Previously, Threads allowed users to pick your interested topics from the For you, Following, and Custom feeds by refreshing the home screen. However, Meta has now added the option of setting a feed as default, and it will appear initially when the app is reopened. Moreover, the platform will also allow custom feeds to be set as default.

Meta has also confirmed that to help users better connect with relevant feeds, Threads users will now be able to add up to ten topics they’re interested into their profile. Tapping on those topics will then show users all the related posts, which makes it easier to engage with others on the social network who have similar interests. We can expect a broader rollout of this feature from this week.
