LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, the upcoming Batman game, is scheduled to launch on May 29, 2026, on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC (via Steam and Epic Games Store); it will also come to Nintendo Switch 2 in 2026. Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight comes out in May next year, but there is an early access option (and pre-order benefits) for those who want to get a hold of a copy of the Batman title as quickly as possible. Here is how you can get early access to LEGO: Batman Legacy of the Dark Knight.
LEGO: Batman Legacy of the Dark Knight- Early access and preorder benefits
To get early access to LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, you can preorder the Deluxe Edition of the game on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC (Steam and Epic Games Store). This gets you a 72-hour (3-day) early access to the game, and you can start playing from May 26, 2026, itself. Preordering the Deluxe Edition also gets you The Dark Knight Returns Batsuit, inspired by the Frank Miller comic book.
Those who preorder the Standard Edition of the game will get only the Dark Knight Returns Batsuit at launch and no early access.
The Deluxe Edition of LEGO: Batman Legacy of the Dark Knight contains all LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight Standard Edition content, the Legacy Collection (available at game launch) and the Mayhem Collection (available September 2026).
The Legacy Collection includes three content packs: the Arkham Trilogy Pack, Batman Beyond Pack, and Party Music Pack. These contain over 30 launch-day items in total, with each Batman content pack containing seven new suits (one per playable character), one new Batmobile and a set of five Batcave customisation props.
The Mayhem Collection comes with new Mayhem Mode, a new Story mission and the Sinister Pack. The Mayhem Mode adds The Joker and Harley Quinn as playable characters. Both come with their own special abilities, takedowns and gadgets, like the others.
The Story Mission starts when The Joker and Harley Quinn break out of Arkham Asylum. The Sinister Pack adds seven new suits (one suit per original playable character), one new Batmobile, and five Batcave customisation props.
The new Batman game features an original story inspired by several iterations of Gotham’s Caped Crusader in pop culture. If you are a Batman fan, we know you are excited to get your hands on the upcoming Lego Batman game, even if you long more for a new Arkham-style game from Rocksteady Studios.
