Apple iPhone 16 Pro series to get new camera features: Key details
According to a new report by 9to5Mac, the upcoming Apple iPhone 16 Pro series will have four new hardware changes. For starters, both smartphones should get a new 48MP ultra-wide camera. This should promise highly detailed ultra-wide photography and videos.
It will allow these smartphones to capture more light and detail. Additionally, it should also ensure spatial video recording with greater clarity.
The same report notes that Apple may introduce an upgraded telephoto camera in the iPhone 16 Pro models, which may be named the "periscope ultra-long telephoto combination camera." This will ensure that the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will support at least 5x optical zoom and 25x digital zoom to capture far-off objects with ease.
Apple is also reportedly testing a new atomic layer deposition (ALD) technology for anti-reflective coating to reduce lens flare. This is a common issue faced by many iPhone users previously.
Lastly, the report also suggests that we might get an upgraded main camera sensor from Sony for the Apple iPhone 16 Pro series. This sensor will promise improved low light performance and could capture twice as much light compared to existing camera sensors.
