While Windows PCs have been offering the option to take screenshots for a long time, things have slightly changed with Windows 11 over the years.
First up, Microsoft updated the good old Snipping Tool with new features and second, there are some simple and easy-to-use keyboard shortcuts to capture screenshots on Windows 11-powered laptops and PCs.

Use Snipping Tool
The Snipping Tool has been updated with more features. For instance, it can now take screenshots and save them automatically. Plus, there’s now a built-in screen recorder too.
To take screenshots using the Snipping Tool, you can use the following ways.
Open the Snipping Tool and click on Capture button
The most simple way to take screenshots is to open the Snipping Tool app and click on the screen capture button at the top placed on the left side of the screen recording button.
Win + Shift + S keyboard shortcut
If you want to take a screenshot directly, simply press Win + Shift + S to trigger the screen capture feature and then select the area to capture the screenshot.

Win + Print screen button
Alternatively, you can directly press the Win + Print screen button on the keyboard to capture the screenshot of the entire screen all at once.
Game Bar
Windows 11 PCs also come with a built-in Game Bar toggle. The tool allows users to capture screenshots as well. You can also record the screen using the tool.
