Bengaluru suburban rail’s 25-km Byappanahalli–Yeshwantpur–Chikkabanavara (Mallige) corridor is finally on track.

On June 15, Rail Infrastructure Development Company (Karnataka) Limited (K-RIDE), executing the suburban rail project, called tender for eight stations on the Chikkabanavara–Yeswantpur “priority section”.

Work on Benniganahalli (Byappanahalli), Kasturi Nagar, Seva Nagar, Banaswadi, Nagawara, Kanaka Nagar, Hebbal, and Mathikere stations is estimated to cost Rs 455.8 crore. The work, the tender for which is likely to be finalised by August, is to be completed in 24 months.
