Simon re-launches operations in India

Spain-based switch-maker Simon, who had forayed into India seven years back, is on a re-launching drive to tap the electrical wiring devices and lighting control systems category. One of Europe’s well-known switch-makers, Simon also deals in connectivity, home control systems, outdoor and indoor lighting and electric vehicle charging systems. With an aim to revolutionize the switch industry, the company aims to launch a completely new range of switches with new colours in India. Simon now sees India as the second largest market after China and is therefore investing around Rs. 25 crore in the next three years on R&D, marketing and branding. The company has called its design and R&D team from Spain to enhance the design and quality level of products.
