Designer shoe firm Jimmy Choo could be up for sale after a strategic review of the business carried out by its private equity backer concluded that it should be sold, the Independent on Sunday reported.

Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs, who began the review on behalf of buyout firm Towerbrook Capital Partners in the summer, have recommended Jimmy Choo be sold rather than floated, the paper said, adding that it could fetch 500 million pounds (USD 805.4 million).

Towerbrook could not immediately be reached.
