A Special CBI Court judge slammed an accused's lawyer in the coal block allocation case for approaching him. The judge claimed that the lawyer tried to influence the probe.
The judge did not disclose who the lawyer was but warned of serious action if it is repeated. The judge also directed all defence lawyers that only those who have filed vakalatnama will be allowed to appear before the court.
Earlier, a CBI officer, investigating a coal scam case involving former Jharkhand Chief Minister Madhu Koda and others, too was warned by a special court which asked him to "pull up his socks" after he handed over to the accused some documents without even submitting them in court.
