2G trial: The wait for bail continues for Balwa & company

The 2G trial court on Wednesday reserved its judgement on the bail plea of Shahid Balwa, Asif Balwa and Rajeev Agarwal. CNBC-TV18 learns that while the order on Shahid Balwa will be pronounced on May 24, the order on Asif Balwa and Rajeev Agarwal will be pronounced on May 21.

The 2G trial court on Wednesday reserved its judgement on the bail plea of Shahid Balwa, Asif Balwa and Rajeev Agarwal. CNBC-TV18 learns that while the order on Shahid Balwa will be pronounced on May 24, the order on Asif Balwa and Rajeev Agarwal will be pronounced on May 21.


Meanwhile, Subramanian Swamy, petitioner in 2G case and president of Janata Party told the CBI trial court that since, CBI does not want him as a co-public prosecutor in the 2G case, "a separate trial should be started" where he could be the prosecutor.
Swamy accused that the CBI is trying to protect the Congress leaders involved in the scam. He said,
