Rumours and reports of the next year’s iPhones continue to pour in before the launch of the 2019 iPhones. The latest report by a reliable source states that all three iPhones launching next year would have support for 5G connectivity.

In his investor note, renowned Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has announced that Apple would launch three new iPhones in 2020 with 5G support. The claim is based on Apple’s acquisition of Intel’s modem business, which would help make more 5G-related resources available sooner, reported MacRumors. Last month, Kuo had claimed that out of the three, only the premium 2020 iPhone variants would support 5G-connectivity.

The Cupertino-based tech giant also speculates that Android phones between $249-349 would also support 5G by the second half of 2020. This makes it essential for Apple to release iPhones with 5G support in order to compete with low-cost Android devices.

Kuo also mentioned that due to 5G support, Apple could also benefit and boost developments in its Augmented Reality (AR) ecosystem.
